Cognitive Category Flashcards and Games

This essential resource is a must for all classrooms using the Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme.  These cards are the foundation from which children develop the ability to organise, link, associate and categorise the rules for letter formation.  It is important that each classroom using the Hemispheres Think Write Handwriting Programme has access to the Cognitive Category Flashcards and Games. 

The Cognitive Category Flashcards and Games contains individual cards of each of the essential Think Write animal characters, their associated starting shape and the four spatial placement images. The games and activities included in the cards can be delivered to the whole class, in small groups or indivdually to children.

The purpose of these cards is to show children how they can associate each animal character, with their specific starting shape and group of letters.  

These simple cards are the thinking behind the programme so children can build relevant knowledge so they can know how to form each letter with the correct  height, size and spatial placement.
