The Step by Step Approach to Improved Handwriting is an Intervention Programme and is applicable to children in the primary level of education, while some of the cognitive based activities can be used with children in secondary education it is aimed primarily at professionals who work in the area of handwriting, teachers, tutors, parents and therapists.

The manual contains 14 steps with clear learning objectives for each step, activities to do and activity sheets to complete. The 14 step Intervention Programme can be delivered in small groups or on an individual basis. It can also be used as part of the curriculum in KS2 to help address any ongoing difficulties with handwriting legibility.
